The Greater Iowa City Area HBA has been selected to participate in NAHB’s Membership 360 Campaign, a pilot initiative to help HBAs take their membership to the next level, during the fall drive. It’s very exciting! We are one of only a few associations chosen nationwide. And, we need your help.
Teams: We’re looking for teams of five, on captain and four team members. Want to be involved but don’t have a team yet? That’s OK. We’ll find a team for you!
Training: Friday, Aug. 30; 11:40 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. at the Iowa City Area Association of Realtors Education Center (847 Quarry Rd, Suite #110; Coralville) NAHB representatives will be working with us. Lunch is sponsored by CBI Bank & Trust. Training is not required to be part of the drive but the more drive participants that can make it, the better.
Drive: The call blitz will take place Sept. 25 and Sept. 26, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Iowa City Area HBA Conference Room. Teams just have to commit to two hours anytime during the day. You don’t have to have the full team there at the same time; just what works for you. We’re also looking into a second day; Sept. 25 if that works better. We’ll supply the names and numbers to call and what to say.
New Member Welcome Reception: This will take place at Kinnick Stadium Oct. 10 from 5-6 p.m. before the October General Membership Meeting. New members will receive a welcome bag full of gifts from our members and NAHB. You are invited to provide items or discounts for the welcome bag. Team members are asked to attend to greet new members and talk to them about their membership.
After Party: There will be an after party to announce the winning teams that brought in the most new members. It will be in The Den at St. Burch Tavern (127 Iowa Avenue; Iowa City) Oct. 14 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Sports and concert tickets as well as other experiences and gift cards will be awarded to the winning recruiter/teams but everyone will be a winner. Don’t forget the bragging rights.
This is not to be missed! Lots of food, fun, networking and a bit of competition. Questions? Contact Karyl or Art Floss of CBI Bank & Trust.
