Prevent Falls – Know Your OSHA Regulations

This training will provide an overview of:

• OSHA Consultation.
• Frequently cited OSHA standards in the construction industry.
• How OSHA applies to your job site.
• A basic level of hazard recognition as it relates to falls in construction, such as: Why is fall protection important? What can be done to reduce falls? What does OSHA require employers to do?

You will have an opportunity get answers to questions you may have about OSHA/OSHA regulations.

About the Presenter
Chris Downs has been a safety consultant with Iowa OSHA Consulting & Education, since mid-2014. He is an authorized trainer for OSHA 10- and 30-hour classes for both general industry and construction. He travels the state of Iowa providing compliance assistance and education to employers in all industries so that they can take charge of eliminating workplace hazards to minimize risk to their employees. Chris is a 10-year Navy combat veteran with deployments around the world and five years of experience aboard nuclear submarines, where he fulfilled safety and health responsibilities. Continuous improvement of safety and health management systems was not only mandatory, it was necessary for the successful completion of missions and to ensure that everyone on the team returned home to their families.
