The Grow & Connect Program is a Greater Iowa City HBA program to connect students and recent graduates with quality local businesses. The connections are in the homebuilding industry and the skills learned will help you be successful in whatever career you choose.

Requirements for participation (Check to Acknowledge) *

Participate in full day (8-4pm) professionalism/How to be a great employee workshop hosted by an HBA business.
Complete at least 1 and no more than 4 1-week job shadows/internships at registered HBA member businesses.
Complete weekly occupation write-ups and submit to EO@hbaofic.org. Submissions due no later than the Sunday immediately following your job shadow week.
Complete a leadership write -up for each business worked and submit to EO@hbaofic.org. Submissions are due no later than the Sunday immediately following the completion of a 1-week internship
Be respectful, courteous, and honest in all dealings with businesses and employees, showing up on time and working complete shifts.

I understand that if I complete all the aforementioned requirements and follow all employee guidelines as given by the businesses in which I’m shadowing, I will receive $125 per completed internship, with a maximum payment of $500 if I complete four job shadows. Signature: *
