Who:
Anyone is welcome to volunteer! You will need your own transportation. High School students are eligible to earn Silver Cord volunteer hours for participating. Everyone receives a reusable eco-friendly water bottle.
What:
LED lightbulbs and other energy efficiency supplies will be distributed on the south side of Iowa City. Volunteers will travel together in small groups to deliver energy savings boxes in local neighborhoods. Masks are required to be worn at all times and social distancing will be practiced.

Virtual Orientation:
Wednesday, April 14 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. (Zoom link to be shared after sign up and the orientation will be recorded for those unable to attend.) Details such as where to meet on April 24, what to bring and what to expect will be covered in the orientation.

To be announced at orientation. Please arrive 10 minutes before your shift.
Why:
The energy packages being supplied to families will save energy and money. The products are an easy way to work toward the City of Iowa City’s greenhouse gas emissions reduction goals.
